- Portsmouth to Caen: ~ 5.45 Hours
- Alternative: Newhaven to Dieppe: ~ 6 Hours (cheap connection)
- Portsmouth to Le Havre: ~ 8 Hours (Cancelled, alternative: Dieppe – Newhaven)

Keep in mind though that Caen and St Malo are more land-inwards, and especially if you want to travel to Brittany in France St Malo is a very popular option. If you want to travel to Southern France: Cherbourg and Caen are interesting options.
Brittany ferries at Portsmouth
Brittany Ferries operates most connections going towards France from Portsmouth, the only other options are alternative routes. one connection is very close and that is a connection which is operated by DFDS: Dieppe – Newhaven.
