Ferry from Ameland to Schiermonnikoog
In the peak season it is possible to sail from Ameland to Schiermonnikoog by boat. There is no regular ferry, but you can board a number of ships that sail between different islands during the holiday period. You can choose from the Robbenboot or sail on a clipper. The latter is a lot more expensive, but of course it contributes to the holiday feeling!

De Robbenboot specializes in various cruises on the Wad, such as company outings and special dinners on the water. This trip takes about two and a half hours. In addition, the boat makes crossings between the islands in high season. You can see these as day trips, but can also be used to get from one island to another.
In the autumn and winter months it is not an option to sail between these islands on a ferry. If you wish, it is best to try to use a water taxi.
The Robbenboot is the most practical and economical way to sail between Schiermonnikoog and Ameland. Due to the limited sailings, it is advisable to plan this well.

Sail on a clipper
An alternative to the Robbenboot is sailing on a historic sailing ship. Here, too, the departures are very limited. So plan this well if you want to hop from island to island.

It is also possible to book a water taxi. They will come and pick you up especially for you and then take you to the other island. This is quite pricey, but sometimes it is the only option.
