The ferry to Schiermonnikoog departs from Lauwersoog. It is a foot passenger and bicycle ferry and the ferry has only very limited space for motorised vehicles, because Schiermonnikoog is a largely car-free island. Four or five ferries depart for Lauwersoog every day.

About Schiermonnikoog
Schiermonnikoog is the fifth inhabited Wadden Island in the province of Friesland. This quiet island lives mainly from tourism. The island itself is 18 km long. There is a daily ferry service by the company Wagenborg for the connection with the mainland. Schiermonnikoog was declared a National Park of the Netherlands in 1989. The Wadden Sea has been on the list of World Heritage since 2009.
Schiermonnikoog is an oasis of peace and therefore ideal for walking in nature. You can also go to this beautiful nature for Yoga classes. There are also various excursions along the Wadden Sea to discover fauna and flora
