Ferry Almeria – Melilla
The boat from Almeria to Melilla connects Spain with the Moroccan coast. Melilla is a Spanish area bordering Morocco. It is possible to cross the border from here to Morocco, but if you do not want to run the risk that the border is (temporarily) closed, you can choose the route Almeria – Nador. This route arrives at the same port, but Nador is located in Morocco, so you don't have to cross the border.
The Almeria-Melilla ferry is operated by the ferry company Balearia and Naviera Armas. This route takes you about 6 hours.

About Melilla
Melilla (Arabic: مليلية), is a Spanish enclave on the North African coast. Melilla is located 10 km north of the Moroccan city of Nador and is known as an autonomous city, as is the slightly western town of Ceuta.
The city receives many visitors every year, most of whom are tourists and women traders. The latter mainly come from the city of Nador, where they take advantage of the price differences of both countries.
