This ferry route has been replaced by the Sassnitz-Trelleborg ferry, that started sailing from early April 2023.

The ferry from Sassnitz to Ystad (Sweden) is a quick crossing. The Sassnitz-Ystad boat only takes 2.5 hours to travel from Germany to Sweden. There are usually two crossings daily: one in the morning and one in the afternoon. It is a famous crossing because it covers a considerable distance between Sweden and Germany.
This ferry route has been replaced by the Sassnitz-Trelleborg ferry, that started sailing from early April 2023.

Sassnitz-Ystad costs
The costs are divided into four categories that have to do with the seasons. The cheapest ticket is €10.95 for an adult passenger in the off-peak fare. In the high season, the costs are increased.
If you want to travel by ferry to Sassnitz or Ystad, you can expect the following prices:

Schedule
The ferry to Ystad has a flexible schedule. Usually, in high season the boat departs at 08:00, 15:00, and at 21:30. This last crossing only runs on the busier days from Thursday to Monday. In the low season, the ferry departs less often. The schedule can be seen here.

From Ystad, the ferry leaves for Sassnitz on a flexible schedule. But in general, there leaves a boat in the morning, afternoon, and evening:
