Catania-Valletta
Strictly speaking, the Catania-Valletta crossing no longer exists, but Virtu Ferries does offer a solution for people who want to travel to or from Catania.
Ferry to Valletta and Catania
Where you used to be able to take the ferry from Valetta (Malta) to Catania (Sicily), there is no longer a direct connection nowadays. But Virtu Ferries have cleverly responded to the needs of tourists by providing a direct bus connection to (and from) the departure port Pozzallo on Sicily.
Thanks to the bus/ferry combination, a good connection has been created between Catania and the capital of Malta. The ferry sails between Malta and Pozzallo in 1 hour and 45 minutes, and the extra travel time by bus is approximately 2.5 hours.
When you are looking for alternative routes, it's best to navigate to our ferry guide: all ferries from Malta to Sicily. In that guide, you can find all the routes leading to Sicily.
