The River Heads-Wanggoolba Creek ferry brings you in approximately 40 minutes to Fraser Island. This ferry doesn't sail to the resort but arrives near the Wanggoolba Airstrip. From here you can continue your tour over the sandy roads.
- Book your K'Gari tickets at Sealink in advance. On this website, you also see alternative tickets when booking. There is also a connection between River Heads and Kingfisher Bay Resort.
- You can travel by car, however, you do need a 4WD!
- Ticket collection is at the Ticket Hut (Fraser Island Barges Ticket Office: 54 Ariadne Street, River Heads QLD 4655) adjacent to the ferry ramp. All vehicles must check in before boarding the ferry. Please assemble your car in the marked area and be ready to board the ferry approx. 30 minutes prior to the vehicle departure times.
