Gourock-Dunoon
The Gourock-Dunoon crossing is Scotland’s busiest ferry route. It crosses the mouth of the River Clyde and avoids a 82 mile detour.
Ferry to Dunoon and Gourock
Two ferry companies operate between Dundoon and Gourock. Those are Western Ferries and CalMac.
- Western Ferries departs just south of Gourock and arrives just north of Dundoon (McInroy's Point – Hunter's Quay). This ferry company also takes vehicles.
- Calmac sails from the center of Gourock to the center of Dundoon. This ferry is only accessible to foot passengers. An additional advantage of this last ferry is that the boarding point is located next to the railway station. This makes this crossing a great connection for people traveling by train from Glasgow.
