Ferry Tarifa – Tangier

The ferry from Tarifa to Tangier is a very popular crossing between Spain and Morocco because you only have to sit on the boat for an hour. It is currently offered by two ferry companies: DFDS and Intershipping. First it was operated by FRS and Intershipping but in Februrary 2024 DFDS took over this route.

Tarifa-Tangier

• Intershipping: this sails 4 times a day, namely at: 08:00, 12:00, 16:00 and 20:00
• DFDS sails 6 times a day, namely at: 09:00, 11:00, 15:00, 17:00, 19:00 and 21:00

Tangier-Tarifa

• Intershipping: this sails 4 times a day, namely at: 09:00, 13:00, 17:00 and 21:00
• DFDS sails 6 times a day, namely at: 08:00, 12:00, 14:00, 16:00, 18:00 and 22:00

The starting prices start at around €44. In practice, however, you can expect much higher prices. A booking in the summer months with a family of 2 adults and a child with a car quickly costs €299. Compared to other crossings, this is cheap, which is why it is so attractive.
