Ferry to Capri and Naples
Capri is a popular island, and as a result, many boats go to the island. You can get to Capri from several departure ports, including from Naples.
From Naples to Capri, you can choose between fast ferries that take about 50 minutes and slower ferries that take about 80 minutes (or even a bit more) to reach the island. The ferries in Naples depart from two piers that are not too far from each other. The fast ships go from the Molo Beverello pier, and the normal ferries from the Calata Porto di Massa.
If you are going for a day trip, it is more convenient to take the fast ferry. This way, you can enjoy the island of Capri for longer. However, possible disadvantages of the fast ferry are:
- A fast ferry is more functional and less idyllic.
- In rough weather, the fast ferry will also fail a bit earlier.
- Prices are higher for the fast ferries (the difference is around €10)
We recommend comparing the departing ferries on time and price if you want to visit the island. You can compare prices on this Direct Ferries page or in the booking module below.
- Make sure to check the ferry company’s website for any updates regarding sailings. This is especially important during stormy weather or high waves, as unexpected cancellations may occur without proper communication.
