About the ferry routes in and around the USA
Baja Ferries operates the largest ferries in Mexico that sail on the West side of Mexico between the states of Sinaloa and Baja California Sur. This crossing goes over the Gulf of California and saves a lot of time. For example, without the ferry between Mazatlan and La Paz, you would have to detour about 1550 miles / 2500 kilometers.
In eastern Mexico, there are various tourist attractions around the Yucatan Peninsula. Smaller ferries can be found here that go back and forth several times a day to smaller islands such as Holbox, Cozumel, and Isla Mujeres.

Can I also go to Cuba (Cancun) to Mexico by ferry?
Hi Cubanita,
The Only way to do travel to Cuba from Mexico is flying. We personally never even heard of these ferries. I think there was once a ‘plan' to have ferries from the US to Cuba, but that plan never ended up going!
In addition to the major ferry crossing between Mazatlan and La Paz. Do Baja Ferries operate smaller ferries to other tourist destinations in the Yucatan Peninsula, such as Holbox, Cozumel, and Isla Mujeres?
