Bailey Island Ferry

⚠️ Since 2019: no ferry from Portland

On Cascobaylines.com it's impossible to find exactly when and why this route stopped. It used to be part of the routes / cruises as you can see on several outdated maps and images.

Cruises to Bailey Island

The cruises “Bailey Island Cruise” and “History Bailey Island Noontime Cruise” which were active years ago are currently not available anymore. Meaning Bailey Island can't be reached by ferry in the current setup.

Will the Bailey Island (Maine) ferry ever come back?

Personally we doubt it, it seems like the focus of Casco Bay Lines seems to be on Peak Island. Which is quite unfortunate as for many people from Portland the ferry trip to Cook's Lobster & Ale House on Bailey Island was a top rated ferry ride.

Bailey Island

Bailey Island

Many people consider Bailey Island “one of the most beautiful places on earth.” It’s unfortunate that the ferry service to the island (From Portland) is no longer available, but the bridge to the island is also charming and unique!
