ID requirements Singapore to Indonesia

Batam Fast has a comprehensive guide regarding the ID needed to travel to Indonesia. We made a local copy here that you can see: ID guide from Batam fast. These rules change pretty often, always ensure you have the proper documents available for international crossings. We got a complete guide as well about international ID requirements.Β

Ferry to Batam Business Class and VIP Rooms

At Batam Fast Ferries, you were earlier able to book VIP and Business Class tickets, as we can see now. However, there are now only ‘economy' options available. If you seek better tickets, it might be best to contact Batam Fast. (Customer Care: +62 778 321120)

At Horizon Ferries, you can book Economic Tickets, Business Tickets, and VIP tickets. Due to the maintenance of the booking engine, the prices for these tickets are unclear. You can see different images of the VIP tickets and what you get for buying them on the Instagram VIP page of Horizon Ferries.Β

At this time, there is also no possibility of Sindo Ferry business class, the only class you can select is Economy class.Β

At Majestic Fast Ferry, all tickets you book are ‘Premium” and more focused on luxury travel. Some vessels seem to have ‘business class and/or VIP cabins'. We found a Video on Youtube about these VIP cabins here, though they might only be bookable by phone or at the harbor:

  1. Can I also leave from Johor to Batam?

  2. I am a wheelchair person, do you have safe transport and how do l get on and down from the ferryboat l have my own electrical wheelchair for me to move on the island appreciate very much for your kind information

    • Hi Tara,

We would advise you to call with the ferry terminals that you want to use. What I do know is the following:

Most (if not all) ferries servicing Batam-Singapore are the same. They do not have special entrance for wheelchair but the staff on the ferries would be more than happy to carry you into/out of the ferry.

Batam Center Ferry Terminal is the most wheelchair friendly terminal I would go for.
