This is a very nice one if the Northern Lights are high on your wishlist. Sail the Norwegian coast with Hurtigruten during aurora season and if the Northern Lights don’t show up (as seen and logged from the ship), you get another coastal voyage for free.
Book an 11-day+ voyage along the Norwegian coast between 20 September and 31 March (valid on selected Coastal Express & North Cape Line sailings until 31 March 2027). If there’s no Northern Lights sighting announced on board, you’ll receive a 6-day southbound or 7-day northbound Coastal Express voyage free of charge for the following aurora season.

Good to know (short version)
- A Northern Lights occurrence = sighting from the ship, logged by the deck officers and announced to passengers – their decision is final.
- The free voyage is in an unspecified inside twin cabin on a full-board basis between 20 September and 31 March the following season.
- Flights, transfers, excursions, onboard spending and upgrades are not included.
- The free trip must be claimed and booked within 28 days of returning and has no cash value and is not transferable.
If you’re dreaming of a proper Norwegian coastal voyage and want a bit of extra certainty about seeing the aurora, this Northern Lights Promise is about as close as it gets.
