Built around the way people actually plan ferry trips
FerryGoGo helps travellers explore ferry routes worldwide through interactive maps, local route guides and practical advice built around real journeys by sea.
The site is built for the planning stage of a trip: when you know where you want to go, but not yet which port, crossing or route makes the most sense.
From island ferries and short local crossings to overnight sailings and international routes, FerryGoGo makes ferry travel easier to understand, compare and plan.
How FerryGoGo helps you plan better ferry trips
Planning a ferry trip is rarely about just one crossing. You might want to reach an island, take your car abroad, avoid a long drive or compare different departure ports.
FerryGoGo helps travellers understand their options, compare routes and make better decisions before booking.

Why FerryGoGo feels different
FerryGoGo is not just a ferry database. We do not operate ferries ourselves, which means our job is to make routes, alternatives and practical differences easier to understand.
Our aim is not to push one crossing at all costs. It is to explain which option is likely to work best for the actual journey.
Real experiences, not just data
We have taken many of the routes we write about ourselves. That includes Hook of Holland to Harwich with Stena Line, both with a car and without a car via Rail & Sail, plus North Sea night ferries such as IJmuiden to Newcastle and Rotterdam to Hull.
We have tested short Channel crossings, travelled with Brittany Ferries on routes such as Saint-Malo to Portsmouth and Portsmouth to Cherbourg, and used ferries in Scandinavia, the Mediterranean, Australia, Thailand and Malaysia.
Those journeys help us explain not only which ferry exists, but how it fits into a real trip.
-
We travel key ferry routes ourselves
Whenever possible, we experience important crossings first-hand so we can share practical advice based on real journeys, not just route data. -
We use our own photos and travel insights
We try to collect as much original photography and real travel context as possible to make routes easier to recognise and understand. -
We do not sell ferry tickets ourselves
FerryGoGo is an independent ferry route platform, not a ferry operator. Our goal is to help travellers compare routes, understand alternatives before booking anything.
What our experience can help you with:
Featured in / Press mentions
Our ferry research, route insights and travel expertise have been featured by international media, travel publications and industry platforms. We focus on making ferry routes easier to understand through clear maps, practical guides and data-backed research.
Trusted by media and ferry industry platforms
Our research:
Understand the route before you book
In the interactive FerryGoGo maps, you can zoom in on a region, click a crossing and quickly compare nearby alternatives.
Each route can show the two ports, the ferry operator, an estimated price indication, the approximate sailing time and whether it is usually a day ferry or night ferry.
That makes it easier to understand how to travel from A to B, and sometimes how that crossing can connect to the next part of the journey.
-
We manually map our ferry routes
Ferry services regularly change schedules and connections, so we stay close to the details to keep our route maps as accurate and useful as possible. -
See which ferry operators sail each route
We show which ferry companies operate on different crossings, along with price indications to help you compare options more easily -
Plan the route first. Book the right ferry after.
Sometimes a nearby port, a different crossing or another operator offers a better option. We help travellers compare alternatives first, so they can book the ferry that actually fits the journey.
Meet the team
FerryGoGo is built by a small team with shared interest in travel, ferry networks and building practical digital products. Together, we work on maps, route guides, research, partnerships and platform improvements that make ferry travel easier to understand and plan.
How FerryGoGo started
FerryGoGo began in 2017 from a simple, personal need: finding clear, trustworthy ferry information and route maps should not feel like a scavenger hunt.
What started as a small project with hand-drawn European routes grew into a broader business in 2019, when co-founders joined and the team began building and expanding multiple ferry platforms together.
In June 2022, FerryGoGo was established as its own company alongside other digital travel activities, creating a stronger foundation for long-term growth, partnerships and the continued development of ferry route information across multiple markets.
Today, FerryGoGo combines interactive route maps, local ferry guides, research and practical travel information to help travellers better understand and plan ferry journeys worldwide.
