The easiest route from Ireland to Scotland by ferry is via Northern Ireland. From there, P&O and Stena Line sail to the ports of Cairnryan. In the summer, you can also travel as a foot passenger on the Kintyre Express to Campbeltown or Port Ellen in Scotland.

Each route between Northern Ireland and Scotland has its own character, depending on the sailing time and the type of vessel.

  • Belfast- Cairnryan (Stena Line):
