Getting to the Statue of Liberty from NJ

The Liberty State Park ferry embarks from Jersey City, New Jersey,Β sailing 2.5Β miles across the Hudson River in aΒ 15-20 minute journeyΒ to Liberty Island and Ellis Island, accommodating hundreds of visitors with frequent departures every 20-30 minutes, allowing for an unforgettable experience to explore the Statue of Liberty National Monument and the Ellis Island National Museum of Immigration.

There is only one operator on this ferry line. And that is Statue City Cruises. However, many companies out there have additional products and services next to visiting the Statue of Liberty.

Ellis Island Ferry

The ferry also stops at Ellis Island, where passengers can explore the Ellis Island National Museum of Immigration. This historical landmark provides a captivating journey through America's immigration history, featuring exhibits, photographs, and personal stories of the millions of immigrants who passed through its doors.

Statue of Liberty

Everyone that writes about the Statue of Liberty simply has to put an image of the Statue of Liberty in it. So that's why I added this image.

Ps. Bookings for the crown are sold out 99% of the time, for visiting the Pedestal, you have to add $18 to the ticket and book in advance. Here you can book it from New Jersey. If you book with GetYourGuide, you must buy more expensive tickets than the $28 ferry alone and look for tickets that include ‘the Pedestal”.
