Let's get you to Amsterdam from Hull

If you depart from Hull, you don't end up in the city center of Amsterdam but in the second-largest city in the Netherlands Rotterdam. In The Netherlands however, all cities are super close to each other, and reaching Amsterdam from Rotterdam is super easy and fast.

It's important to let you know though that there is a P&O Ferries Coach transfer that can get you all the way from Europoort Rotterdam to the city center of Amsterdam (Prins Hendrikkade). This one is of course included in the Amsterdam Mini Cruise. If you are booking a normal ferry make sure you select this option, the coach transfer is only €10:

You also need to book a coach transfer back though, so make that €20.

You can also take the Dover connections, however, these include long drives and aren't the best alternative to this connection from Hull to Amsterdam, especially not as fooa t-passenger.

Frequently Asked Questions

P&O Ferries offers mini cruises that include a one-day stop in Amsterdam from 8:30 to 17:00, with the rest of the time spent on the cruise itself. However, it would be great if P&O Ferries could consider extending these mini cruises by an additional day, so that travelers can have more time to explore Amsterdam at their leisure.

The best alternative depends on where you travel from in the UK. Overall we would say that both Newcastle-IJmuiden and Harwich – Hook of Holland are great alternatives.

  • Go as a foot passenger.
  • Bring your own food.
  • Take the coach transfers to and back from Amsterdam.

And don't drink too much in Amsterdam 😉
