We at FerryGoGo rarely communicate offers from ferry companies through our blog since not all offers are simply good enough to communicate. This one, however, we just couldn't pass up:
Now temporarily 50% discount on an (already relatively cheap) Mini Cruise from Newcastle to Amsterdam. It is an autumn offer and, therefore, not valid for long. Here, you can go directly to the offer, but we advise everyone to read carefully how much benefit you ‘really' get.
We immediately started a test booking to investigate all conditions:

- When selecting the cabins, you can choose all available ones but not the (luxurious) commodore ones. Here, you can immediately see the enormous discount in action:
- You (reasonably obvious) don't get 50% discounts on the food if you order a buffet or food and drinks with it. Ps. Pre-booking those meals is recommended on this trip!
- The bus transfers are also for the full price, which costs £13 extra for a Mini-Cruise to Amsterdam. However, these tickets were already included in the price.
- In our test booking, we arrived at a total price of £122 for two adults. £ 61 per person. That is with cabin, with transfers, without pre-booking meals.
Details of the DFDS Mini Cruise discount
- Bus transfer to and from Amsterdam city center included. (Yes, these are checked. If you want to stay on the boat, you can grab some extra discount, but we would go to Amsterdam!)
- Booking period: August 31 to October 17, 2023.
- Travel period: September 1 to December 31, 2023.
- *The from- price is based on 2 persons in a 2-person inside cabin. Other cabins have a small surcharge.
- Only valid for new bookings and not in combination with other promotions/discounts.
- Offer subject to availability.
- Commodore cabins are excluded from this offer.
- This offer cannot be combined with an extra day, which we think is a pity.
Would we take the offer?
This is a unique discount, 50% is a lot and also valid on tickets for all days that are still to come in 2023. The only thing we don't like about this discount is that this discount is not valid for the four-day variant of the Mini Cruise. But that's just a small thing. This is the way to get a cheap ferry to Amsterdam now! In short: we highly recommend using this 50% discount. Straight to the offer!
Ive never booked a cabin before, with this being so cheap is it per person? do I book a cabin and a ticket? – I have never travelled by Ferry/Cruise before!

It is not per person, you mostly book a cabin for 2 or 4 persons. I have to say though that discount is a real good one! Good discount to use for your first ferry Cruise experience!
